Finding out about the Police Officers in our Community

posted 10 Jan 2017, 04:10 by EMMA SHERIDAN
Laura Fairley, who is a Police Officer for our area, visited our school to talk to us about her role in our community. She told us about the
different ways she protects the community and makes sure that people follow the law. We found out it takes 2 years to train to be a police officer and you need to have good listening, writing and maths skills as well as being fit and healthy. Laura also worked with our Key Stage One children in the classroom and hopes to come back and teach our Key Stage Two children about being a detective and understanding a crime scene. A big thank you to Laura and her colleagues for keeping us safe in our community!
