School Council

posted 30 Mar 2017, 08:11 by EMMA SHERIDAN
In our most recent School Council meeting, we talked about how we could support The Youth Box Project which helps young children in Gambia to go to school. Mrs Oswald, our French teacher in school, has supported this charity in the past and thought we could help too. We invited Regine Schneider to come into school, who works for this charity, and she talked to us about life in Gambia for some children in  our assembly. The School Council have decided that each class will create a shoe box of goodies that will be sent across to the children as well as holding a non-school uniform day to raise money. The School Council will write a letter giving more details and that will be sent out shortly. We are looking forward to helping other children get a good education and feel lucky that we come to school for free!
