As part of our work on the Local Area, which links to our work in history and geography , our children
regularly visit the exceptional coast and river locations which are an excellent resource for school. We have close links with North Shields Fish Quay Heritage Project and engage in art and history topics with the community groups. We are situated at the heart of the Balkwell estate in North Shields and have close links with the community:
St Peter's church is very close to our school and Reverend Lee Cleminson is on our governing body. We visit the church throughout the year for a variety of curricular and celebration purposes such as: Harvest, Christmas and Easter services. We also support their work in the community as many of our children attend the Hot Chocolate Youth Club on a Tuesday evening.
