Welcome

My name is Mrs Grant and I would like to welcome you to our school website. I am very proud to be able to share with you the wonderful opportunities and developments at Collingwood Primary School.

This is a large and vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve. The children, from nursery to year 6, are at the heart of every decision we make as we strive to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their individual needs - both now and in the future. Our nursery currently operates from 9am to 12pm with the opportunity for an afternoon session for working parents who are entitled to the 30 hour offer. Doors open from 8.50am for all children from Reception to year 6 and children finish at 3.20pm.

We offer a free breakfast club to all children from reception to year 6 from 8.15 every morning and we run after-school clubs and a holiday club which are also all free of charge.

Through our evolving and engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that all children experience quality first teaching where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured. Collingwood has a long history of excellent outcomes for pupils and good Ofsted judgements. We ensure that we are fully inclusive and that all of our children make rapid progress. We provide amazing outdoor, sporting opportunities in our extensive grounds and we are also very proud of our computing facilities. Our exciting curriculum is focused on ensuring high standards and providing first-hand experiences. We offer a great deal of support to our children with their work and with their social and emotional development and the care we provide for our pupils is second to none!
