Collingwood Primary School, North Shields - Welcome to Our New School Website!

Remote Learning

Remote Learning @ Collingwood Primary School

In the event that we are advised by the Government to move to remote learning or if your child is required to self-isolate, the expectation is that work will be completed on a daily basis. All work can be returned via Google Classroom or e-mail to your child's class teacher at the end of that period. If a year group bubble has to close, children must communicate regularly with school staff and complete the work set. Staff will communicate with your child throughout the period of closure. Please ensure you also regularly check the class Twitter feed and our website for any changes or updates.

Engagement with home learning

It is expected that responsibility for remote learning is shared and everyone has their part to play. We understand that every family has individual circumstances, that sometimes working with technology can provide other challenges, therefore we ask that parents please inform us about this and we will do all that we can to support you.

School will organise and ensure that paper work packs are available for children who are working at home and unable to access learning via technology. These must be requested in advance from the class teacher, by email or via the school office.

We can also provide resource packs to the families of children who receive free school meals. These packs will include paper, pencils, pens, etc. Please enquire at our school office.
