Collingwood Primary School
Our English curriculum develops children's ability to communicate clearly and equip them with a strong command of the written word. We strive to develop a deep love of literature by exposing them to different kinds of literature, texts and writing, poetry and drama. In both Key Stages, we use Read, Write, Inc to teach phonics and comprehension skills. This is supported by whole class reading using reciprocal reading strategies that aim to develop a deeper love of literature.
