Music

At Collingwood Primary School, our music provision aims to engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and help to discover and nurture their musical talent. Children are given the opportunity to be original, imaginative and creative in their composition and performance of music. The music curriculum is progressive so that our children can use musical terminology to express their emotional response to different genres of music.

Promoting careers in Music

Music can lead children into various careers: singer, instrumentalist, song writing, performance, journalism, education, technician, education to name just a few. Whether music is pursued or not, music will enable children to develop as a person in a creative, emotive and personal way. Lastly, it can improve health and well-being, something which is so vital in our current age.
