Collingwood Primary School
At Collingwood, the achievement, attitude and well-being of every child matters and inclusion is the responsibility of everyone within our school. Every teacher is a teacher of every pupil, including those with SEND. We respect the unique contribution which every individual can make to our school community and we strive to ensure a culture of belonging exists for all.
Collingwood Primary School is an inclusive school which ensures that all pupils achieve their potential socially, emotionally, physically and academically. We strive to ensure quality first teaching is applied across the whole curriculum, using a range of differentiated teaching strategies, resources and activities. We aim to meet the needs of all children with SEND in the following 4 main areas of need.
We were lucky enough to have a very special visit from Richie and Sue from Awesometistic. Richie gave staff an amazing and bravely honest insight into what Autism is like first hand on a day to day basis. Not only was the chat informative, but he also gave us lots of ideas and strategies which we can implement into our practice at Collingwood. Thank you!
