Design Technology

At Collingwood we believe it is vital to nurture creativity. We aim to develop creativity and the other skills needed, to allow a young mind to explore today’s inventions and the history behind them. Design Technology can provide children the skills to work in construction, to work as an engineer of software, mechanics, electrics, a fashion designer, an architect and a chef to name just a few.

At Collingwood Primary School, our DT curriculum enables children to take creative risks in the designing and manufacturing of products. Through using a variety of knowledge, skills and equipment they will be able to innovate their ideas and promote a passion for the development of our ever changing world.
