World Book Day 2022

We are celebrating World Book Day on Friday 4th March, we invite you to come dressed as your favourite character. We are going to have lots of fun celebrating our love of different books and reading.

In particular, each Key Stage will be focusing on different fiction books, to celebrate a love of reading at every age.

Foundation stage will be reading The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr.
Key Stage 1 (Year 1/2) will be reading Winnie the Pooh by A.A Milne.
Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3/4) will be reading Beatrix Potter.
Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6) will be reading Romeo and Juliet.

Costume Ideas

Have fun and make your own costumes for World Book Day. Below are some ideas but we look forward to seeing what character you will choose.

The Day the Crayons Quit - dress in your favourite colour
Burglar Bill - wear a stripy top with a mask made out of paper or card
BFG - Dress in pj's and come as Sophie.
The Way Back Home - come as an alien with different coloured clothes, try to attach extra arms to your t-shirt or a headband with antenna.
Room on the Broom - make a witches cape from a bin bag and a hat from card or paper.
